National Autism Awareness Month starts today.
What I'd like to say today is just this: Awareness of numbers makes not a hill of beans of difference. Take the time to learn what autism means. And if you have an autistic person in your life, take the time to learn what it means for THEM. The characteristics present differently in every single person. Do that, and you show a love that we, the autistics and their families, appreciate more than you could ever know.
