A visit from Grammy

Since Mom has the opportunity to have lunch at school with Perrin and Grady, go to Grandparents Day, and the like, she asked me in the fall if we could plan a Friday for her to do the same with Henry. We did, and last Friday was it! Grammy took the day off to drop in on Henry at school. He was excited for us to bring chicken minis and have lunch in the cafeteria with him and his friends.

Then, we surprised him... Grammy was Mystery Reader!

Friday night we went out for Chinese. Saturday morning Mom joined me for the annual ladies' brunch at church. That evening she and Henry had a Waffle House date.

Meanwhile, Keith and I were enjoying our once-a-year indulgence of an expensive dinner out. We went with Bin 54 this time, the best steakhouse in the Triangle. (We also had a free night at the Sheraton and enjoyed sleeping in Sunday morning!)

So, as one might imagine, my pants are pretty tight this week!

Everyone had a terrific visit and we're thankful Grammy came to spend time with us, as well as allow us some couple time.
