December brought a lot of joy and magic to Henry's kindergarten class! An elf on the shelf named Sparkle visited the children every day. Almost every afternoon he had a precious writing or drawing assignment in his folder. This was my favorite:
Ms. Langdon has a special centers day each month and parents can come help out. On the special day in December, I snapped this cute picture of Henry drawing a Christmas tree on his head. The students always have a center that involves math and a bunch of fun, hands-on projects (like making different kinds of ornaments), and always some fun holiday snacks. In September it was an apple theme; October was pumpkins, candy corn, and the like; and in November it was, of course, thankfulness.
We cannot emphasize enough how very blessed we are to have Ms. Langdon. She truly sees Henry and pushes him to achieve his academic potential, while also patiently helping him through any struggles - of which there have been few, thanks to God! The end of kindergarten may very well be the saddest teacher good-bye I've had yet.
