For a late anniversary getaway and much needed reconnecting, we stayed at Inn at Riverbend, just outside of Blacksburg, Virginia. I easily could have stayed in our room and enjoyed this view the whole time, but we managed to get out and enjoy some beautiful hiking in the crisp air. We also drove to Blacksburg just to say we saw Virginia Tech. We enjoyed hearty breakfasts at the inn, some cheap Mexican on Friday night, and a delicious, totally unique meal at The Palisades Saturday night. It was one of the very few places I've been where I wanted to try every single item on the menu, appetizer to dessert. A wonderful weekend all around.
