Henry's body

In March UUMP 4-year-olds study the body and the 5 senses. During my time in the classroom I observed them smelling the tops of covered paper cups to determine what food was inside and finger painting with chocolate syrup. (I purposely backed off to see what the teacher could encourage Henry to do with the syrup. He drew an H with one finger. Big success! Considering I gagged over finger painting, I totally get it.) I can only imagine all the other wonderful learning opportunities that have taken place in the classroom. Today Henry brought home the culmination of their month-long project.
