This year Grandma joined us for a trip to Spencer to see Henry's favorite engine, "big humongous Thomas." The day started with Henry getting a watch from Grandma . . . so he could make sure we were on time!
"Is it time to go yet?" (In other words, why is the train not moving?)
And we're off!
Henry had a wonderful morning. I will say seeing the difference between age 2 and age 4 was interesting for me. He definitely enjoyed everything both times, but at age 2 he seemed to be more enchanted. I think now Thomas is more like a good friend.
