Last week our neighbor had to put their dog to sleep. Henry associates heaven with Doc, the car who is not present in Cars 2 (the movie) and, at least to parents, is meant to have passed away. So he's been associating Jasmine, the dog, with Doc.
Our conversation today...
H: Mom, where's Doc?
Me: He's in heaven.
H: Like Jasmine.
Me: Yes, Jasmine is not sick anymore. She feels good again. In heaven no one is sick.
H: But we've got hiccups.
